Q: Do you provide towels or do I need to bring my own?
A: Please plan to pack your own bath, kitchen and beach towels. You might want to throw in some pot holders, too. We do have bath and kitchen towels available for rent. Please reserve them before you arrive.
Q: Do you have TVs in the cabins?
A: No.
Q: With the new switch from analog to digital transmission, if I bring my own TV, will I get reception?
A: At this time, we are not getting a TV reception to count on. Not even with a converter box. Due to our location, the cabins do not have dish or cable TV.
Q: Do you have TVs for rent?
A: We have two, brand new TVs for rent on a first come first served basis. They have 19" screens and work well if you would like to bring a DVD player or a gaming system. Do not count on them to receive TV channels. The cabins do not have dish or cable TV.
Q: Where is the closest grocery store?
A: Just 14 miles from the resort, Park Rapids has three very nice grocery stores where you'll find everything you need. J&B Foods is located on Hwy 71 S. (our personal recommendation), Coborns is on Hwy 34 W and Super Walmart is on Hwy 34 E. There is also a fun meat market on Main Street, called (you guessed it) Main Street Meats.
Q: Is there a convenience store close by?
A: Two Inlets Country Store is 1.5 miles from the resort, and has pretty much everything from lighter fluid to bread. It's very convenient when you only need an item or two.
Q: Where can I buy a fishing license?
A: You can buy one at most large fishing and hunting stores in Minnesota (Cabelas, Gander Mountain) which you might pass on your way to the resort. Two Inlets Country Store sells them, as well as Northern Bait and Delaney's Sporting Goods in Park Rapids. The Department of Natural Resources web site also sells them, just go to www.dnr.state.mn.us for directions.
Q: Where can I rent a pontoon boat?
A: We recommend Water Toys in Park Rapids. They offer 20 foot pontoons at a reasonable price, which hold 8-11 people. They deliver and pick up, so no hassles for you. Each of our cabins comes with a dock space, so there is no additional charge to dock the pontoon on our docks. You can reach Chris at 218-252-4725.
Q: Where can I rent a ski boat?
A: For those who would like to water ski, wake board or go tubing, we again recommend Water Toys of Park Rapids. They have a 22' ski boat for rent. Call Chris at 218-252-4725.
Q: Do the cabins have grills and picnic tables?
A: Yes, every cabin has its own Weber charcoal grill and a sturdy picnic table.
Q: What exactly is a 'houskeeping' cabin?
A: This means that the cabin is completely equipped for normal living.
The kitchen has pots / pans and utensils for cooking; glassware, dishes, flatware and serving bowls for eating; all modern appliances including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster and drip coffee maker. Aside from towels, all linens are provided. In addition, housekeeping also means that we ask that you do your best to keep the cabin clean during your stay.
Q: Do you have boat lifts for rent for my personal boat?
A: Two Inlets Lake is not large enough to really require boat lifts.
While weather is unpredictable, wind usually isn't a problem. Our docks are high quality and sturdy with excellent bumpers. For the occasional very windy day, you may be more comfortable either beaching your boat or trailering it. The public access for the lake is just one mile from the resort.
